This Is My Space

Here are some random pics of my little scrap room. I love coming in here after the kidlets are all tucked away in bed and pottering....it's so relaxing!
Nothing much else going down in my world atm.......really loving the freedom of school holidays......and not loving my growing ironing pile!!

Crimps, Cross Eyes and Bikes!

Lily has finally done it!!! She can now ride without trainer wheels! A huge triumph for my very cautious, sensible non risk taker. We are almost as proud of her as she is......the smile was permanent for quite some time! She has even gained the confidence to ride on the road with us. I must admit....I'm finding it hard to think about the fact that she will be eight this May. She has grown up right before my eyes.........much too quickly. And she keeps doing really clever things.....like explain to Paul and I that we have a cd stacker in the boot of the car! How funny is that? Us....her adult parents....did not take any notice of the black device in the boot of our car. It wasn't listed as a feature when we bought it...so for.....Oh......6 months...we drove around listening to the radio, until Lily took me by the hand one day and said..."Look Mum...it says it's a cd and stacker"! Bonus! Thanks Lily for pointing that out. Oh...children of today! So switched on........not anything like their parents! Ha Ha!!...........And take a look at Am...down there......
Check her out! Ammy was in disbelief! How could she eat an entire lolly pop? She had us all in fits of laughter with her crossed eyes. Did I mention that I found a huge chunk of blonde crimped hair under her bed......When I quizzed her about it...she was adamant that "No, I no cut my own's hair"! Then I found the scissors hidden in her bed...little ratbag...she has two major chunks missing from each side....at least she was symmetrical with her hacking...I guess! This is self hair cut number 3!

And...after what seemed like hours.......the mission was complete......hair was crimped and all the children were hap....hap...happy! (For some reason....Lily's pics were blurry....probably from all the hair flicking she was doing!)

I'm watching Jerry Maguire atm......I've probably seen this movie too many times too mention, and everytime I end up in tears! Happy tears! It's about the only movie I like Tom Cruise in!

Awards For Excellence

These layouts were part of the folio I sent to For Keeps, along with "Behind this Gate". Dear Lily contains a letter written by me to her and features a lot of sewing and a hidden pull out. The scan unfortunately didn't pick it up.
Gentle Man is a personal fav. Love the girls with their Daddy. Ammy was just a freshie here. And now.....she is nearly 3! Where does the time go! It also contains a journal pull out.
And this one is Ammy! "Peek A Boo". Do I need to say more......she is just too cheeky!! I tucked a Hambly journaling bit in behind her photo. I do that a lot I have just realized!!
And lastly, "She Plays" a LO of Lily practising on our piano.....she started lessons last year and loves it!
I have had a great week in the creative dept.....produced lots of lo's...I'll share them with you soon!
Take Care all!

Spilling The Beans!!

Well...after what seems like forever.....I can now reveal that I have won the For Keeps "Awards For Excellence in Photography" for the above layout. I received a parcel from them a few months back with the announcement...and it's taken some serious control to keep it to myself .....until now! Yippee!!!
The Journaling Reads " Behind this gate is a house that echoes with the laughter of children and embraces a loving family...our safe place where happiness lives and friends are always welcome and family is everything".
Also...a big plug for Bec Spicer who has "2" layouts in this edition........go Mount Gambier!!!

Our Latest Addition......

Welcome to .....wait for it........NUGGETS BOSKO! I know...I know.......it's a little well.....not the name I would have given him. But....it's the given name unanimously decided upon by the girls. And simply because they LOVE "Chicken Nuggets"....just like they Love Him! I am getting used to calling out "Nuggets" at the top of my voice...and I'm sure the neighbours have figured out that it's not my husband I'm calling! Ha Ha! Anyoo....he is cute and cuddly and our newest member.

Our New Years Eve 2007!

New Years Eve!!! What a stinker!.....as in HOT!!! To escape the heat wave we decided to spend the day at the beach boogie boarding with the kids, and our family friends. The girls were like shrivelled prawns at the end of the day....and I don't think Lily even spent more than a minute out of the water! Such a fun time! We had Fish and Chips for tea before leaving and were all so exhausted from our activities that we fell asleep well before midnight! My New Years Resolution is to see the next New Year in!!
Check out my littlest beach baby! Isn't she just the cutest thing! This girl loves the beach and sloppy sand! I think her grin tells it all...don't you? I have a pic which I won't post....but it is sooo yummy....her bather bottoms kept creeping down due to all the sand in them, and for most of her time on the surf, she bared half of her darling little bottom! Of course ...I snapped a few....they will be great for her 21st Birthday!

This is Tyne, catching a wave on her boogie board! She and her Daddy spent a good few hours getting tossed around by the ocean. (And Paul got absolutely wiped out by a wave.....resulting in the pictured board cracking into two pieces!).....it looked very dramatic...ha ha!!! This little girl of mine is such a sporty dare devil!!!
